Increased glucose uptake due to high energy requirements is one of the major hallmarks of tumor metabolism. Accelerated tumor glycolysis generates an unfavorable immune microenvironment that limits intra-tumor T-cell infiltration and activation. My work focuses on targeting tumor glycolysis to potentiate anti-tumor T-cell responses and the activity of immunotherapy.
